View Full Version : A Smothered Dream
We all know how important it is to learn a second language esp. one like English . Well, I love this language and teach it but what is the use of learning and mastering it when one doesn't practice it not even in class where the students just hate it like death. Sometimes I just wanna scream or do anything. English is kept inside and will stay there:mad:
PS
Can you help?:p
In fact I thank you , yes I harmonize with you
A person when he face something new
From the natural at the beginning
He feel the difficulty
But by means of the daily practice and the daily training
The person is shown and makes feel by the confidence

In the name of Allah
I agree with you ,I remember that in my first year in the college I faced this problem
and that because we do not use it, the other students they do not have much of this problem because they travel a broad and use it , but I can say that to overcome this problem first by recording our speech on a tape and then listen to it again , the person can gain some of the English accent by listening to an English speaker we can say through the news and then try to imitate it and that would help, In fact it work with me ...........I do not know Iam a student now but I think when ever I become a teacher I think I will do the same or do it .......... scream
and may Allah keep you safe
bye
My English accent is perfect, well, all people say that and I am not gonna deny that, all I meant that I don't have anyone to communicate with IN ENGLISH!! So all what I have learned is kept inside me. Got it DUDE?
Salaam to you all brothers and sisters
I just want to draw your attention to a good feature that you may use when writing in english
This feature is the capability of left alignment of your english text
In the page where you write yur reply or message, just above the text area, there is a button labled with letter "L" , click this button once and start your messge. At the end of your message, click on the button اقفال الكود الحالي
Brother Abu Ali! Thanks a lot for the valuable tip. It is great.

hi every body.....
Hi dear Jane Austen...
Actually, many students suffer the same problem and I’m one of them . How to make use of this language ..How to preserve it .. r difficult to attach HERE in our community since we don’t communicate by it … as u say even using the lag at school is less helpful coz your use of it is so simple, and at the same time u don’t have any one to communicate with which means a gradual forgetting of the language .
For me .. I try to solve this problem by chatting with my friends via the net in Eng .but this also is less useful because we write & don’t speak .Also ,whenever I call my friends I try to speak with them in Eng hoping it will help…
C ya;)
Hi every body,
I'm really really pleased to see people like u here in The English language forum.
In fact I thought that I would be the only person who writes in this forum, and I left to do other work in Our other forums.
However, I'll try to be with u as much as I can.
Special thanks to u miss Jane Austen, and while it is ur jobe to teach English, I hope u do ur best with us to make English interesting to students and practice English lang here!!
Thanks all and go on.
Best wishes,

Hi there,
You know, you just touched my painful wound. I feel bad when I speak with some one in English and make a mistake which shouldn't be done by me!
In my first week at college, I was shocked because lectures were all in English, not even a word in Arabic, that I wanted to convert to any other dept. but thank God I couldn't do that because I really enjoyed studing English . But since I graduated till now, I didn't practice my English in the right way .
You can see just how awful my English now is. I am starting to lose it.
I wish I could study again.
I know you would say , you still can study be yourself but I really can't. I don't have much time to, even if I had the time , I don't have the good mood to do so.
I am still trying.
Good Luck for all of us especially you Jane.
Reading is very good ! Don't forget that !
Have a nice weekend to you all !
:)
